Sandra Bryant, Executive Director of Wabash Christian is pleased to announce plans to expand Wabash Christian Therapy & Medical Clinic, located at 1112 Oak Street, to almost double its current size.  Groundbreaking will occur this spring and construction should be completed in early fall 2016.

The addition will expand across the back of the lot allowing for a separate entrance and outpatient therapy waiting room doubling the size of the existing facility. The current outpatient therapy space will be converted to medical office space to house new medical services and specialists.

Bryant states, “I would like to thank everyone who has supported the clinic. It has been an honor and pleasure to bring these expanded medical services to Carmi.”

Wabash Christian began offering outpatient therapy in 2009 to meet the needs of community members voicing the desire to complete their outpatient therapy at WCRC. Due to the rapid growth and support by the community, it was decided to relocate the outpatient services offsite to allow for more private treatment space.

In 2014, Wabash Christian Therapy & Medical Clinic was opened for business. A unique relationship was developed at that time with Wabash General Hospital and Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

Family Nurse Practitioners Wes Henson and Kathy Taylor provide family care at the clinic. For more information about care provided at the Carmi Family Clinic click the link.

WCTMC currently offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy Monday through Friday from 7am-5pm and by appointment. The medical clinic is open Monday through Friday 8am-6pm with walk-ins accepted. Wabash Christian Therapy & Medical Clinic is complete with lab and x-ray services available starting at 7am with any doctor’s order.

The community has again shown great support of the current clinic and benefited from services offered.  As a result, WCTMC is now looking forward to the next level of growth in supplying Carmi and surrounding areas access to quality medical services “close to home”.

In appreciation for the local support we have received, it is important to Wabash Christian to support other local businesses. Mark Gwaltney of Gwaltney Construction will be the general contractor to oversee other local subcontractors in the expansion project.
