Auxiliary Purpose

The Hamilton Memorial Hospital District Auxiliary was established in 1960 as a volunteer organization whose work benefits the operation of the hospital and enriches the working environment of all staff. The Auxiliary is dedicated to raising funds, creating hospital awareness, and building a network to support the hospital district.  The efforts of the Auxiliary have enabled the purchase of well-needed equipment, renovations, and other pertinent resources to continually support the hospital staff and facilities.

Membership

The HMHD Auxiliary is open to anyone who would like to join. Current members come from all walks of life, choosing to serve for a variety of reasons. There is no fee to be a part of the Auxiliary.

Meetings

The HMHD Auxiliary meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month.  For more information regarding joining the Auxiliary, please contact Glenna, Auxiliary President, at 618-308-0183.

Auxiliary Leadership

The Auxiliary is lead by the Auxiliary Officers, consisting of the President, Glenna Sutton, Vice President, Sondra Currie, Secretary, Kathy Pryer, and Treasurer, Betty Rowland. Additional service committees are available to serve on, including the Administrative Committee, Historical Committee, Volunteer Committee, and Nominating Committee.  There are no requirements of general members to serve in leadership positions, or on special committees.

Supporting Causes

Each year, the Auxiliary hosts multiple fundraising events and efforts.  The annual Book, Purse, and Puzzle sale is the largest event.  The sale is held at the hospital each October and is open to staff and the community.  Additional fundraisers, including raffles and item sales are held periodically.
