  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and compliance with the nurse Practice Act of the State of Illinois regarding professional nursing.
  • Current license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
  • CPR certification.

1.Orientates new personnel as appropriate. 2.Volunteers for participation in hospital events. Is responsible for performing the function of a LPN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned patient care in collaboration under the direct supervision of an RN for ages newborn thru geriatric patients. Is accountable for all patient care he/she gives during time of duty. Is responsible for adhering to standards of nursing practice, for managing supplies and equipment under the direction of an RN and for promoting team work with physicians and personnel of other departments. Essential Job Requirements: 1.Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice including knowledge related to nursing such as biological, physical, medical sciences and their application for better understanding of patient care problems. 2.Practices nursing in accord with established standards with hospital policy and procedure. 3.Supports and adheres to administrative and nursing policy and procedures. 4.Must have the ability to promote effective written/verbal communication. 5.Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability, able to perform the tasks involving physical activity and moving intermittently throughout the work day. 6.Must be dependable, trustworthy and flexible. 7.Maintains confidentiality of patient information per policy and procedure. 8.Fulfill additional performance responsibilities as assigned and necessary in a timely manner. 9.Must have the ability to think clearly and make logical decisions in emergency situations. 10.Promotes harmonious relationships and favorable attitudes among the health care team. 11.Is rarely sick or absent from work. Other Job Requirements: 12.Participates in in-service programs and related educational programs as directed. 13.Conforms to hospital dress code. 14.Participates in PI program as directed. 15.Attends staff meetings as directed.
