Training and Experience: Previous experience in hospital or hotel housekeeping preferred. Must have ability to become competent in essential functions within 2 to 3 months.
Job Knowledge: Must have the ability to read, write and speak effectively. Must be able to count and follow simple instructions. Sufficient strength to push carts and lift bulky items.
Housekeeping is performed within the Support Services Department and shall operate as a team. When one area needs assistance, those working in other areas shall be responsible for ensuring the whole job is completed. Support Services is an important part of ensuring District patients and residents receive complete quality care.
